We’ve ended 2018 in high spirits at our Group Break Up despite the wet weather, which also postponed our Scouts Adventure level hike. We look forward to Zoe achieving an Australian Scout Medallion early in the New Year, as we prepare to celebrate the Group’s 50th Anniversary. Leaders and Committee have begun planning a big program of activities – updates will appear regularly here on our website www.birkdale.scoutsqld.com.au as well as Facebook and emails.
Because the Scouts Queensland financial year is from April–to–March we are currently preparing and sending the invoices for 2019-20. The Group is changing our financial system to Xero and I know we won’t get everything 100% correct, so please be patient as we make the transition. Families with outstanding 2018-19 fees may still receive statements from the old system (Dibbs) and payment would be appreciated a.s.a.p.
The membership fee for 2019/20 is $425 per child, including Scout Assoc. registration, Group Levy and Unit Subs. This is the maximum amount - if you have multiple children or volunteer your time as a Leader or Committee member, discounts apply. To help with your budgeting, the invoice must be paid by March 15th 2019. I attached a Membership Fees FAQ with an email sent to families (17/12/18) and please let us know if you need further information or explanation.
